We have installed two solar power systems That contains 119 solar panels, rated at 35 kilowatts. Solar panels installed on the roofs of the Karlton and Jefferson apartments collect light energy from the sun, converting it into DC electricity. That electricity is then routed to system inverters, which convert it into the AC electricity we use daily. From there, the electricity is used to power Property Concepts’ buildings immediately; any excess is fed back into the grid. Property Concepts’ solar-energy systems will produce approximately 47,000 kilowatt hours of solar electricity annually. In doing so, they will offset approximately 73,000 pounds of carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas, annually as well.
